Your first visit is longer than follow-up appointments because we're gathering all the information we need to understand your situation completely. Most initial evaluations run 45 to 60 minutes — we don't rush this process.

Complete Your Intake Forms Early

We'll send digital intake forms before your appointment. Completing them ahead of time means we can jump straight into your evaluation when you arrive rather than spending your appointment time on a clipboard.

The Consultation

Dr. Duchene starts by sitting down and listening. He'll ask about your current complaint, your health history, previous injuries, occupation, and lifestyle. The more context he has, the better he can serve you — so don't hold back.

The Examination

After the consultation, Dr. Duchene performs a thorough physical examination including postural analysis, range of motion testing, orthopedic tests, and neurological screening. This is where the clinical picture starts coming together.

X-Rays If Indicated

If your history and exam suggest that imaging will provide important clinical information, X-rays are taken on-site. Not everyone needs them on the first visit — Dr. Duchene uses clinical judgment rather than a blanket policy.

Your Report and First Treatment

Many patients receive their first adjustment on the same day. Dr. Duchene will explain what he found, what it means, and what treatment will look like going forward — then get to work if it's appropriate to do so.
