Phase 2: Corrective Care
Stabilizing Your Progress at Evolve Chiropractic
Beyond Pain Relief
By the time you enter Phase 2, your pain has improved significantly. Now the focus shifts from symptom management to actually correcting the underlying structural and functional problems that caused your symptoms in the first place.
Why This Phase Matters
The spine has memory. Muscles and ligaments that have been stressed, misaligned, or injured for months or years don't automatically stay corrected just because the pain is gone. Corrective care retrains the spine to hold its proper position.
What Changes in Phase 2
Visit frequency decreases — typically to once or twice per week. Treatment begins to incorporate more rehabilitative work: specific exercises, stretching protocols, and postural retraining alongside continued adjustments and soft tissue therapy.
Your Active Role Increases
Phase 2 is where your participation outside the office becomes more important. Dr. Duchene will prescribe home exercises and movement strategies designed to reinforce the correction we're building in the clinic. Consistency with these makes a real difference in your outcome.
Tracking Progress
We reassess your spine during Phase 2 to measure objective improvement in alignment, range of motion, and function. These checkpoints help us confirm the plan is working and make adjustments if needed.
Stick With It
This is the phase patients are most tempted to drop out of — because they feel good. But this is exactly when consistency matters most. Finishing what you started is how you avoid coming back for the same problem a year from now.
